About This Collection
WORKWEAR — WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
Custom workwear is its own category — it has to clear a much higher durability bar than retail or corporate apparel. A polo for a sales floor needs to survive a Q at a time; a polo for an HVAC tech needs to survive crawl-space access, attic insulation, brake-cleaner overspray, and weekly hot-water washes. That's why we run a separate program for trades and field crews built around purpose-made workwear blanks.
Carhartt is the default for outerwear and heavyweight pieces — their jackets, hoodies, and work shirts read as legitimate to anyone who's worked with their hands. Red Kap dominates the industrial-uniform shirt and coverall category and is what you'll see on most fleet-service technicians. Cornerstone is the right call for service-trade work shirts and pants at a better price point than Red Kap. Dickies is the heritage choice for blue-collar uniforms with brand recognition. Berne handles the heavy outerwear when Carhartt's catalog runs out. We work with all of them through our S&S Activewear account with full S–4XL size matrices.
For programs that include hi-vis requirements (ANSI Class 2 or Class 3), we stock compliant tees, polos, hoodies, jackets, and vests with the proper reflective tape configurations. Embroidery and screen printing are both allowable on hi-vis garments as long as decoration stays within the artwork zones the standard permits. We'll guide you to a compliant placement — getting it wrong can void the ANSI rating, which matters in OSHA-audited industries.
For trade-specific marks (IBEW locals, NATE certifications, Master Plumber, OSHA compliance icons, state license numbers), we've digitized hundreds and can produce custom digitizing for whatever your accreditation requires. A typical setup is a 2.5″–3″ trade icon on the left chest with the company name in a banner stitch above or below. Sleeve embroidery (right sleeve, vertical) is the standard secondary location for trade-specific qualifiers.
Programs that include individually-named pieces (owner/manager polos with full name + title, foreman polos with first name + role) run +$5 per named garment with a per-piece name list. We can phase a large rollout in two deliveries — initial batch for immediate hires within 2 weeks, balance shipped 4–5 weeks later — at no upcharge, so you don't have to wait for the full program before equipping new staff.
