About This Collection

HATS — WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Embroidered hats are the corporate, crew, and uniform standard for a reason: they survive everything. Wash cycles, sun, sweat, ten-hour days on a construction site — stitching that's properly digitized and densely embroidered on a quality blank outlasts the cap itself. That's what we make.

Every embroidered hat we produce runs through commercial Tajima multi-head machines fed by a digitized stitch file that we (or your designer) build for the artwork. Digitizing is the difference between a logo that reads sharp at 20 feet and one that smears into a blob — we include free digitizing on orders of 25+ and on every reorder, no matter the quantity. First-time orders under 25 units carry a one-time $25 digitizing fee.

We embroider on every cap blank we carry: Richardson 112, 115, 168, 256 (structured truckers and snapbacks), Flexfit 110F (fitted-feel snapback), YP Classics 6245 (unstructured dad hat), Sportsman SP12 (cuffed knit beanie), Atlantis Headwear (eco knits), and any specialty blank you bring us. Position options include front center (the standard), left side, right side, back (above the closure on snapbacks), and the cuff on beanies.

For caps that will see hard use — kitchen staff, construction crews, marine/outdoor — we recommend embroidery over leather patch. Stitching doesn't delaminate, doesn't crack in cold, and looks the same after 200 washes as it does on day one. For caps that are primarily a retail or premium-merch play, leather patch usually wins on visual impact at distance; embroidery wins on detail rendering.

Pricing follows the Hobbs Peak hat ladder — $28 at qty 1, $26 at 6+, $24 at 12+, dropping to $16 at 200+ — and is uniform across decoration methods. Add a side or back location on a snapback and pricing adds the per-cap location fee ($3/location). Free digital proof always, no commitment quote, most embroidery jobs back in one business day.

Embroidered Hat FAQ

EMBROIDERY QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

How many thread colors can a single embroidered logo include?+
Up to 15 distinct thread colors per design on a single embroidery head. We run Tajima commercial machines that read the digitized file color-by-color and swap threads automatically. If your logo has more than 15 colors, we'll work with you to reduce gradients to stitchable color blocks without losing the look.
Is digitizing included or separate?+
Digitizing — the process of converting your logo into a stitch file the embroidery machine can read — is included free on orders of 25 hats or more, and on any reorder of a previously digitized logo. For first-time orders under 25 units, digitizing is a one-time $25 fee. Once we have your stitch file on record, every future order uses it.
What is puff (3D) embroidery and when should I use it?+
Puff or 3D embroidery uses a foam layer under the stitching to raise the logo off the cap by 2–4mm. It works best for bold, blocky designs without fine detail — single-line text, simple icons, geometric marks. It does NOT work well for thin lines, small text, or photo-realistic art. We'll tell you straight whether your logo is a puff candidate.
Embroidery vs. leather patch — which lasts longer?+
Both outlast the cap itself if applied correctly. Embroidery wins on color flexibility and is forgiving of complex designs. Leather patch wins on visual impact at distance and gives the premium western/outdoor look. Embroidery is also the better choice for caps that will see heavy washing (uniforms, kitchen crews) since stitching doesn't delaminate.
How big is the embroidery area on a structured cap?+
The standard front-panel embroidery area on a Richardson 112 or Flexfit 110F is roughly 4″ wide × 2.5″ tall — enough for most logos with a wordmark and an icon. Side embroidery (left side, right side) is typically 2″ × 1.5″. Back embroidery (above the snap closure on snapbacks) is around 4″ × 1″. We'll mock up your art on the actual cap before production.
